With the Shipping Management features in our IXXO products, this step is not only managed for you - allowing you to keep track of which orders need to be shipped, but also allows you to automate the process - for example creation of shipping labels and automatically booking the shipment with your courier service.
Do I need to use Shipping Managment?
While not required, it is generally recommended. By having Shipping Management enabled you will have full control of the final stage of your sales cycle. .
Additionally, Shipping Management greatly increases the automation of your online store, as you do not need to manually book shipments with your courier, or spend time preparing the correct packing labels.
How does Shipping Managment work?
As soon as an order is placed, all of the customer and order information is already in your IXXO system. IXXO Cart simply makes full use of this information to allow you to process the shipment without any further data entry - a big time saver.
Also by integrating with your preferred courier, the despatch of the item can automatically be booked, along with tracking numbers and any other shipping information. Using this you are able to automatically send confirmation of the shipment to your customer, keeping them informed of the status or their order the whole way.
